Since 2013, À la Mère de Famille has given free rein each year to a different illustrator to reinvent its now-iconic Advent calendar. This year, the honor goes to Dorothée de Monfreid.
For the 2025 edition, seven extra windows — cleverly hidden beneath the main calendar like a secret mini-stage — let the countdown to Christmas begin as early as November 24.
For the occasion, Dorothée de Monfreid transforms the Faubourg Montmartre boutique into a lively theater scene filled with famous performers to spot. Among them: Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Joséphine Baker, and John Lennon — all hidden in a playful trompe-l’œil setting.
